“So they ate four hundred dollars worth of food, which we gave them for free, without making the Instagram post?” asked the baker. Her short, stocky fingers formed fists. “You know how hard I worked on that coconut pandan cake?”

The bakery was closing for the day. There were no more orders coming from the delivery apps, but hypothetically someone could walk through the door at the last second.

“I’m starting to think their views are botted,” replied the chef, who was also the baker’s sister, who was also the owner of the restaurant. “I’ve posted screenshots of the entire conversation, maybe somebody knows what’s up.”

“Fucking influencers,” said the baker. She scowled as she continued. “Those two had no influence whatsoever.”

The chef, who was also the owner, had the further responsibility of sweeping the floor. She walked to the closet and pulled out the broom when she got a notification on her phone.

It was an email titled “Cease and Desist”.

“Holy shit,” said the chef, who was also the owner, and the janitor and the secretary. Her eyes widened and she opened the email.

The first couple of paragraphs were dense legalese. However, after the sign-off by “Phineas Warburton, Attorney”, there was an additional paragraph.

“Would you like me to add anything else? I could also generate a company logo, or suggest a subject line for the email. Before you send this, please check that all the details are accurate in the letter. As an AI language model I can make mistakes.” the email read.
